Hot Marques Sunday 29th Nov

Post by Digital » Sat Nov 28, 2009 9:04 pm

Anyone heading up for the last Hot Marques of the year tomorrow (4 hour session - 11 till 3)? I've booked on for my last fix of the year, hopefully not the only SE-er on track!

I went to this as weel and can you believe it it was actually dry all day!!!!!!!

Track was a bit slippy at first, causing me to have an excursion onto the green stuff stopping the session. My bad

As it started to dry it got far better and I finally got to see the capabilities of my car in the dry as every other track day I've done with it has been raining and I'm well impressed.

There were a lot of nice cars there, the usual GT3'S , Elises etc. A few of us went off, a ford mustang ended up on its passenger side and the ambulance was out for the occupants burt think they're ok unlike the car. An RB320 with either a blown engine or turbo.

Roll on next year.

It was super busy at first but it dried out at the end of the session when it was just too late!

We were behind an Orange Exige when it went off at the back of the circuit, but not sure which one it was.
Was passenger in a Black stage4 VXT at the time.

CRASHED?????

It wiped out good and proper up on it's side at the hairpin. He had already locked up the brakes at the end of the straight earlier on that lap but just kept his foot in for the rest of the lap.

"APPARENTLY"

..... there was someone slow with their hazards on, on the right hand side and he booted it to get past him before the hairpin, lost it in the corner and went sideways towards the wall and then when it hit the wall it tipped up onto it's side.

I'm sure it'll T-Cut out! :thumbsup

Nice to meet you earlier, car looked absolutely filthy after your off after the chicane! Glad you made it back out on track again though :thumbsup

I had a great day, car was going really well and had a ball when it dried up. One silly spin at the hairpin (awaiting pictures   ) but apart from that no major dramas. Just a shame it's now ages until the next trackday season...

The Mustang on it's roof at the hairpin looked really nasty, that's the worst looking aftermath I've ever seen at a trackday, driver and passenger were very lucky to get out of that one unscathed
