K Pro Map.

Evening folks. I know a few of you guys are running K20A Honda engines so thought I'd ask for some help on here since im now officially a pariah in the MG Circles

I have a map that was fitted to another MG Honda which acted as the doner car for some of the bits in the conversion. Thing is though its map is pretty weird. VTEC coming in really low and its running pretty naff mid range. Alan stripped down and cleaned up the engine before installing it and has wired it up and set up the sensors etc as you would in a normal conversion (ala you lot) .
Since then I have added a 4-2-1 Manifold, a Straight through Backbox and a Decat pipe till MOT time. The car at the moment is running a big Cone filter akin to that seen in the K&N 57i style kits but the open filter will be replaced with an enclosed Airbox over Christmas.

In K-manager I notice a default map described as "Toda Header, 310cc Inj, Air Intake and Exhaust, standard Cams" was wondering if any of you lot had any experience using this as a base map?

Any advice or even maps I can take a look at would be greatly appreciated I'm a total noob at this but im learning... (as Alan will tell you though very gradually... )

You need to know what fuel pressure you are running and what fuel pressure the map is for.

If it an N/A car I would run 3 bar fuel pressure and standard injectors and start with a standard K20A2 base map from Hondata.

Anything else is going to be taking a chance. Are you going to get it mapped on the dyno?

That's all been done Dan.

All he needs to do now is get it rollibg road tuned or datalogged on road. Like Dan says (and me !) Your just guessing otherwise.
