Ok, date is in the diary. I'll confirm once I know if I have the kids or not that weekend.

I've forgotten my yahoo groups password so haven't loggin into it for more than year. I suspect any e-mails I've been getting from it have been going to my old surfanytime account which is no more.

Gave him a leg of lamb out of the freezer, and he wandered off to eat it. Big bugger though.

Are you sure?

When Ran Fiennes and myself did the overland trek there in '73 from Oman, I am sure that we carried .44 Magnums in case of polar bear attacks.

Have missed a lot of the fun re: trying to commute, having been on hols right through, and not back until Monday. Trying not to think of that.

Anyhow, spent the last 5 days at the forest cabins near Strathyre, and took the sledges out every day. Kids and parents and aunts and uncles all knackered! Also took the snowboard along, carted it up the forest trails behind the cabins and after some awesome igloo building, we sledged and carved all the way back to the cabins. Nirvana!

Then a day out at Glencoe Ski Centre on Thursday, blue sky overhead, not a breath of wind and maybe only a few dozen other punters to contend with. Never queued for a lift once all day. Nirvana. Did I say that already. Even better that it was barely an hour and 15 mins up the road from the cabin, much better than the 2 hrs 15 I usually have to endure to go boarding at a Scottish Snow resort.

Just wish I'd had time to get to Cairngorm, the place is literally buried, but maybe in the next couple of weeks...

Got home to find another cm or so of snow on top of the 5 or 10 already in our housing estate and yes, still no gritting of any sort whatsoever. Shocking after over 2 weeks.

Kelvin - well done on the DIY sledge, sorry to hear you have been laid low, hope all picking up for this year and make sure you swap rotas for the terrors, it is mandatory to attend TT2010 and even Lisa says she'll try to come along!!

Where did you dig him up from?

I was obviously referring to Sir Ranulph Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes, 3rd Baronet, OBE.

I can only think they reckoned on being able to halt the car if they got out, not realising that with it being so icy they wouldn't be able to get the necessary purchase on terra firma.

Funniest thing I have seen in a while, what were they thinking about jumping out of the car? I read somewhere that the driver narrowly avoided being run over by his own car. Darwinism at work.

Was emailed a letter at work, supposed to be from the female passenger threatening legal action against the guy who filmed it unless he removed the clip from youtube.
Too late pal

They probably got out of the car, because unlike you lot, they know what's around the corner ...

Cheers,
