I'd love a nice watch but I'd lose it or damage it within a year :( would be nice to have one for dressy occasions or the like though!

Lotus watch is not bad looking but it's probably a Argos £5.99 watch, Lotus put their logo on it and uped it to £195

Yup - so very probably the truth!

I wouldn't want a Rolex car, so I'd not buy a Lotus Watch!

I ahve an ORIS. TT1 I think its called, top of the range at the time, rubber edged face and rubber strap.. £1000ish

its worn every day, and I mean every day, even when I am working. Its been submerged in diesel, battered with a mash hammer and dragged accross harled walls..

I treat it like the lotus.. its meant to be used, and used hard. I dont polish it and keep it locked away safe, its used for what it should be used for...

Work mates thing I'm of my nut. thye all have £5 jobs out of argos for work..
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

sorry silly ship story coming up

A engineer called "snowy" used to wear a rolex oyster or something all the time even down the engineroom. He was always bragging about it and showing everyone. Of course we all thought it was a fake so one night in the bar he was showing it off as usual and another engineer grabbed it.

the comment was "Snowy no one is stupid enough to wear a rolex down the pit look its a fake " and he then started to proceed to batter it off the bar.

It turned out it wasn't a fake and there was a wee bit of a bill to pay to ut it back together.

We relised it wasn't a fake when the glass fell out and snowy turned and interesting colour and started swearing loudly.
