Pram to fit the S2

Post by james » Mon Jul 31, 2006 9:20 pm

I know this will strike fear into several members here, but I have a baby related question

I know there are a couple of prams that will definately fit into the Elise S2 boot (I read it somewhere a while ago but for the life of me, I cant find the link anywhere on the other forums - probably due to the lack of sleep recently. :? )

I just wondered if anyone out there knows which make/model of pram actually fits into the boot as my daughter is now getting too heavy to carry around in her bucket seat :) so I need to get her some cool wheels that will fit in my car or we will have to use the wife's all the time.

There is I believe a wierd three wheel thing in mothercare that folds up to the size of a large tin of baked beans.... slight exageration maybe but it is impressive, but expensive.

Off to look at the mothercare web site... again...

http://www.mothercare.com/invt/la0130&b ... 3wheelers1

I think its this one...
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

You want a Quinny Zapp, think its one of the most compact you can buy. Youll still need to take the quick release wheels off though to get it in the boot. Our 1 Year old is just fitting it now with a bit of modification to the straps.

It is a Quinny Zap. You don't need to take the wheels off though, it fits in the boot fine. You can also put it in the passenger footwell..

I've got a "cosy toes" (click here) for it in red in good nick if you are interested, like the link but without the pocket. I was going to put it on FleaBay but I'm open to offers...

What you really want is a Macpac Koala carrier, forget the pram!

Essentially a rucksack converted in into a snug seat, available with canopy and insect shield etc. Got mine from some online outfit : http://www.theoutdoorshop.com/Outdoor/P ... ct=OUT1508

Fits in the Elise boot (S1) and I hope to try behind the seats as well some time. Eilidh loves it! No pics avail at present, sadly :-(

I have fatherhood looming in November. I am just planning to put the sprog in the boot, making sure it is well velcroed in so it doesn't roll about on fast corners and risk damaging the clam :D

With my first due in Oct, Mark, can't we just let the 2 sprogs play together at home while we go out for a blat.

I'm not in denial - but am shocked at myself for now having sat here for 5 mins looking at the Mothercare website!! How can any of us think to buy something called a quinny zapp?? Sounds more like something you'd do to make babies in the first place.....

Yeah, I am sure they could keep each other amused :D
Never been anywhere near Mothercare, but the quinny zapp has aroused my curiosity

Someone else asked me yesterday if I was going to be selling the Exige cos of the impending sprog. I resisted the inclination to thum him, but said if I ever show the slightest inclination to even think about buying a people carrier I should be shot.
