Agree - awesome night! Busier than usual but great fun none the less!

Exciting stuff when a vx spins right in front of you at the bottom of duffus, and when a 7 cuts out at the exit of the hairpin when full throttle and you have a 340r right behind you :D

Andy - will get the video footage onto disc and give you a shout to get your details and will post it through or you can come collect it?

Good to put some faces to all the names on this board as well - loads of exiges out tonight :drive

Great night again brunty!

Had a great night - best brunty night so far i reckon !

.......highlight for me was waving a certain red s1 thought, getting abuse hurled at me when he went past and then spotting said car in the gravel 3 corners later :D

Red flagging your own night - chuckle

Nice to see some VX's on track as well, but not as nice as that bog standard 1.3 escort. Who was that brunty?
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

Just in, excellent night although that was the least amount of petrol I have ever used on track, still good to get back out after a 2 month absense.

Felt very jittery at the start and was very ragged with the car, took a while to build up some confidence and pace again.

Sorry I didnt really get a chance to chat much, spent more time worrying about my tyres which actually held up pretty well in the end, now highly illegal. Good for another 2 trackdays I reckon :D

Hope Neil realises how much it took to hand the keys to my car over, I am the worlds worst passenger (Ed will back that up) but even more so when its my car  the few laps we had and the comparison when we switched over again was interesting. Good to see different approaches to corners and lines.
I think I really need to get some proper driver training in, I felt the biggest difference between me and Neil is that he could control the car much better when on and slightly beyond the limit, I still panic to much when I feel the back end going.

Four new tyres needed now.

Yup, excellent night had by us in the two cars, and good noodles apres.

Uneventful apart from the old boy in the red caterham trying to pass me on the right into the hairpin, I am sure he knew what he was doing but I didnt so wasnt ready fo it! Cool to see so many exiges on track(even if the rest of you boys are in waaay more boring colours  )

Had fun chasing wee bro in his clio and watching him three-wheeling about.

Top stuff :thumbsup

Big thanks to Brunty - one of the most enjoyable events I have done at KH, and the 2 hours seemed to fly by. My car has never felt grippier or more fun to drive, although my brake pedal was starting to feel a bit long towards the end.

Hilarious watching that old escort on the track, and also the Clio Williams cocking a wheel through the corners - whoever was driving that was doing a very impressive job 8)

Yes - superb night- hot work! Let loads of air out of tyres after a near tank-slapper down Duffus.

First trip to Noodle Bar - as current Chairman of The Scottish Society of Epicureans, you would expect a review from me -"Situated in the heart of elegant downtown Dunfermline, this addition to the culinary scene attracts a mixed crowd of diners. The none-too-discreet lighting did not flatter the perspiring Lotus party - but we were refreshed by a shower of water from the aircon unit. However, the main point is to ensure that you get full value from the £10 buffet - we certainly seemed to do that!"

Great fun - look forward to the next one :D

I had a great time too - car was playing up a little with a sticky throttle cable, dabbed the brakes for the chicane locked the fronts and still had the rears powering was interesting - bit of a homer moment as I could hear someone shout "come off the brakes" not sure if it was my brain or Nicola - either way I listened and got round the corner.

Can also felt a little loose at the rear - I made a camber adjustment to the front but nothing at the rear and left the damping the same too which in hindsight was probably a mistake. Car turns in better but doesn't feel quite as planted.

Didn't get as many laps in as I had wanted to - but still enough to put a smile on my face. Wasn't smiling with the antics of the two yellow VX's though - blocking a corner so you can have your own personal drag race down the back straight just isn't on - neither is cutting a car up to get back on the racing line. Thing the guy in the white XR must have been related.

Had some great laps trying to get away from JJ's brother too.

Cheers

I had good fun aswell, although technically i shouldnt have been driving, was just offering tips to Ed and Kenny. Most grateful for the shots guys. Your both due a shot of mine, hopefully at SIDC

Both of you are very impressive, and i think you were actually faster through the slow corners, hairpin macintyres. The exige understeers a hell of a lot, so you need to trailbrake to get the most out of it, the only problem being i cannot drive well with the ABS servo system, so you two were both a bit better through there.

Where i was quicker was through duffus, chicane and possibly clarks. compared to my car, the exige feels FWD. just soooo chuckable, so whereas you were both braking, turning into the corner then getting back on the power (like what i do in my car) i found i could just chuck it at the apex, still going to fast, and it would just slide round perfectly, not ever feeling like it was going to spit you off. really good feeling that. if only you could get rid of the understeer through the slow stuff

Cheers Neil, Duffus was my bogey corner last night, I seemed to be consistently 5mph slower throught there than usual, strangely Clarks which is normally where I feel I struggle most didnt feel as bad.

I think the 2 months lay off and the couple of bad crashes at the exit of Duffus recently has slowed me down a bit there.

Also had a sneaky peak at some of Jamie's footage last night, cant wait to see it :D

you were driving really well. Like i said to you at the end, you never run to the edge of the track on the exit, so you could go faster through every corner, but its not a bad thing to have a safety margin.

I think the exige in general would be suited to a big fast circuit, as it didnt like slow speed corners and would just understeer (or my trail braking with ABS is truly sh*t) but it was sooo secure in the quick stuff.

You'll see what i mean when you drive my car. I'm correcting oversteer from the minute i turn in, its a constant battle. I'm hoping the new bushes will solve the sqirm. Find out soon enough.

I had a top evening, cheers Brunty :D :D . First time I've been able to get the car to do what i want it to. Was my third trackday with it(after doing maybe 6 in Ed's exige), and I'm starting(touch wood) to get more confidence with it. Speeds increasing, ironing out lines etc. really loving the car :D . Can't wait to get some new tyres/brakes/shocks to really give it some(apparently the front tyres are 6 years old   )

No worries with the pax laps. Simon survived quite a sideways moment, but AndyG got the real treat. Coming up to Clarks, determined to get a run around the Integrale, 2 mins left of session, too busy looking at the back of him, didn't realise he'd gone really wide, so I went wider   Think i got 2 wheels on the gravel, stones pinging off the undertray, but managed to keep everything together, and postpone my inevitable "tom's binned it" moment for another day

good noodles/chat after, and then a few quiet pints to round off the evening.

Quality!! Cheers Brunty :thumbsup
