Tut,

If I were you, I'd prepare my self for a visit from plod. Maybe meatball can correct me here, but I'd imagine that when the boys in blue turned up they'll have asked for the CCTV footage. The PF will want to speak to the old man that was involved - its not a case of pressing charges up here, the PF canprosecute if its in the public interest, and prosecuting a guy carrying a kinfe and threatening a pensioner is one I imagine they'll be keen to prosecute.

As for his mates, If I were them, I'd not be coming after you - I'd be laughing at my mate that got chinned by an OAP and saying he deserved all he got.

I agree with above tut,

If the bib did see the tape showing he ran at you first. Firstly they'd weigh up wether they knew him and it was an easy collar. If they want a statement to prosecute him Im pretty sure as they leave tt they'd quietly tell you that the boy got what he deserved.

That idiot will be so ashamed of what happened or anybody finding out the identity of his assailant he wont be seen for dust. I'm pretty sure he will be avoiding the supermarket for a while aswell as its more likely he will be worried somebody recognises him and calls the police incase he carrys on again.

Verian reckons that I have OCD or am anal retentive, but that is plain silly, it is what anyone would do.

I thought I got my OCD from Mum?

It only amuses me when I ruin it for you by bursting your egg or stealing a bit of tattie scone. The disastrous result is achieved and a son is VERY amused. :D

Going to have to disagree, what does a complete scum, who doesn't deserve oxygen, care if he was floored by a pensioner? He won't care about anything!

I would be privileged if I was done in by an ex war veteran compared to the low lifers who carry weapons and travel in packs. I should know as it happens enough. I'm ecstatic though that this incident had a good outcome and that the old man can still handle himself. Just hope that if something like that happens again (Hopefully not) then the likes of Ian, Jamie, Scotty are there. Gives peace of mind when the start of a bad story begins with "Me, your brother and Jamie were..." as opposed to "I was out..."

On a happy note though...proud! :D

Bloody hell what are they teaching you at College?

Grammatical English, punctuation, correct spelling, what a waste of an education.

Maybe I came across wrongly, you are correct the idiot won't care what any normal person would think, I was trying to reassure tut he wouldn't be telling his mates that he got done by somebody they would wrongly see as an easy target. Could you honestly imagine him telling them he got beaten by an oap.

Now for the important question, how much of your breakfast did you miss? And any bets the neds quietly grateful you hadn't watched the film layercake the previous evening!

Are you in the P&J with this yet Tut?

"NE War Pensioner gets more than he bargained for in Supermarket breakfast bar..."

And :damnfunny for Scotty's efforts. All those racing writeups are paying off. Next stop Mills & Boon...

:damnfunny It's not often that I sit and laugh out loud when I'm sitting on my own - nice one Scotty.

On the serious side, it's the fact that the 'good guy' has to make sacrifices, changes or become defensive in situations like this that really frustrates me. Tut should be getting free breakfast for life from the supermarket but instead he's worrying about the possible impact on himself and his family. It's a poor reflection on our society but more often than not it's just best not to get involved.

Tut
I had to test your three on a fork theory this morning. You are correct in that is pleasing to work rowards the final mouthful.

Tom
Your final wipedown can be achieved as well if you keep the tattie scone at the bottom of the fork

:cheers

bacon and egg roll, sausage and haggis roll. Proper butcher products, not supermarket sh*t. The best bit was it was made for me at work, and i'm getting paid to eat it :)

I'm feeling hungry reading this thread! <drools>

Egg yoke moppage is good, but bean juice has no place being allowed to run amok on the breakfast plate in my world. Bean ramekins FTW! :D

Beans should form no part of any decent breakfast.
