Yoko's or Toyo's

I need a new set of boots for my baby.........

I have the Yoko A048R's on the car at the moment and I must say its an excellent tyre, Even in the wet. In very wet conditions however she can be a bit lively.

I was looking at the Toyo-T1-R tyre as it has more tread than the semi slicks and imagine will be the better tyre in the wet. Has anyone fitted these and if so do you have any feedback on the tyre compared to the Yoko's?

Thoughts would be appreciated.

I fitted T1-r's as they are cheap and fine for general road use. Not sure about hard driving though.

Do you do a lot of track time? No - T1-Rs will be fine. Yes- A048s or R888s.

Kumhos get a good review as an alternative to the T1-Rs

I would think the Yokohama AD08s would be a good compromise for you.

I imagine you would hate the feel of T1-Rs compared to A048s.

Thanks For the info, Not going to go to the track anytime soon so I think ill give the Toyo's a try, can always go back to the Yoko's next summer as the fronts are in good nick and only need to replace the rears.

Ill let you know my thoughts after their fitted.

I presume if you're putting Toyos on you'll be replacing all four? Mixing with 48's or 888's supposedly isn't recommended.

+1 im running 48;s front and r888 rear.......so far so good.
