:thumbsup

I noticed that on PH classifieds a couple of weeks ago and thought it seemed great value for money.

Looking forward to hear your thoughts on it.

Wrong time of year for one of those, the heaters are bloody awful! Make an S1 seem like an oven ;)

Still not convinced on the black decor, but the wheels loom great. I still love Erica's VX :)

Enjoy (for a few months ;))

I reckon you'll trade it in on the way to your first track day whilst passing some random garage :)

Cheers guys :thumbsup

Kev, i think you are winning (If you can call it that :blackeye ) by a fair distance, i am only on my 3 car this year...CTR...ITR...VX220 i think :?

What size tyres are people running on there S2's with the wider front rims, mine currently has 195/50/16 but can't seem to get the Kumho in that size so unsure if i should go for either 195/45/16 or 205/45/16 which brings the diameter closer to the standard 17" fronts?

Scotty, that is my second free loan van (140bhp) which i have until March now as they messed up the order for my van. So that's probably going to be 30k of free motoring, well bar fuel

go for the 195 45 on the front, KU31,s They are FANTASTIC,
If you cant get them pm me, I had no problem getting them.

After spa, I have to say the VX is a great car in the conditions we had, not sure why they get such a bad name.
Quite a few little things so sort out, leaky roof(understatement) headlight relay, headlight switch and a clunky steering column after north weild, other than that it was perfect and a joy to drive on the motorway.

I take it your running 16's on the front Stu? I can get 195/45/16 no problem, it was just 195/50/16 (standard 16" front tyre size) i could not find.

Standard 17 fronts with 175/55/17 = 624mm total diameter
Standard 16 fronts (VXR) 195/50/16 = 601mm
195/45/16 = 582mm £43
205/50/16 = 611mm £51
205/45/16 = 591mm £51

195/45 is a 19mm drop where as 205 45/50 are a 10mm increase/decrease :?

Don't suppose you know what geo setting your using?

:cheers

After the Belgian Pave motorways we experienced at the weekend, probably all 4 points of the compass :-(

They do look small on the car, but who cares.

All standard as far as I know, never checked.

Standard VX size is 17" all round, which isnt a problem on the back but means running 175 bridgestones on the front - from memory Kev's car has 16" on the front which gives much more options for tyres. Same as Mike / Wivvy's car.

Glad you are enjoying it - i've never really understood why (badge aside) they get such a bad name.

You will go and drive it in the rain and in the dark! :D

Did it pull to the left after the high speed bend? North Weald is hard on the cars, eh. But great fun.

Seriously glad its getting a good spanking and giving you loads of fun. That is, after all, what these cars are all about.

Mike - you will enjoy it but be prepared for the 'niggles'.
