Seiko 5s look good.
I was confused with it being branded a monster. Is it basically the same thing?
Actually prefer the design of this 5 but it's not a real monster.

Go with what I prefer or stick with genuine monster?

That's the model I've got Gareth. Often called the Neo Monster.
I went for the white face in the end (pics earlier in this thread, p43) but my attention was brought to it when I was looking for an Orange Monster.
Same 7S36 movement you get in a Monster, albeit non-hacking. That said, slight backpressure on the winder will stop the second hand if desired.
The same 12 o'clock rocket with the hands etc. Bezel is slightly raised on the outside so seems to protect the face quite well.
Think the rating is reduced to 100m due to lack of screw down crown & the display rear it has not being up to the 200m that the steel back that original Monster will handle.

BTW, the link to that specific ebay item... it says the pictures are of the actual watch for sale. If so, then the movement on that one is not of Japan origin. From what I can make out from the interweb, the Japan ones are possibly better regulated from the factory. Mines has Japan stamped all over it, even on the dial... and runs inside 5 secs per day.
I have no signature.

eBay ... think the Japan ones have the same model number, but end in 'J1'.

If I was lucky enough to be in a position to choose 1 of those... I'd take the top one.

respectfully suggest you try those on first G - as I recall you'll need a lot of alone man time to get your wrists ready to pull any of those off ;)

DSSD is the only one that does it for me from those 3. It is very chunky in the flesh though!!

Currently trying to decide which of these to go for next...

GMT2c without a hesitation dave. the tudor heritage chronos are shifting like cold coffee by the looks of things, so a bit overpriced really.

Why do you want another fake Breitling? ;) Did you not jump on the Beaverbrooks 25% off bandwagon and get a PO?

Gareth
The orange strap of the Omega would clash with the green of your RS

The top photo looks identical to what I am wearing on my manly (Greg) wrist at this very moment

A Rolex sub for me please Santa........

I dont really like the "new" sub with the wider lugs but the GMTc is lovely in the flesh with the ceramic bezel - my FiL has one and its a really nice wristclock, big in the flesh too. The omega is rank and should have stayed in the 70s, but it does seem to be in fashion.

Dave, fancy a Navitimer Cosmonaute? I do you nice price.
