Project V6 Elise
Re: Project V6 Elise
What's wrong with the FPR i'm using?
Re: Project V6 Elise
really coming together!

Re: Project V6 Elise
Thankyou Ferg.
Dan not sure if you know, but using a 2 way FPR like that one means i have to plumb in a 3 way T piece before it which makes the fuel lines very ugly with hose clips all over the place, so i use the 3 way type that combines the line splitting within the unit, so no messy T pieces, or is it the colour you have issue with?

Re: Project V6 Elise

Re: Project V6 Elise
Oh right, well it's not something i can do anything about, i need to fit a 3 way FPR with a gauge on it.
Can you show me an acceptable 3 way FPR you would use instead? So i can improve this next time.

Re: Project V6 Elise
Relax; provided the thing does what it is supposed to I would ignore the bitching about the colour
You could always tone it down with a lick of your gunmetal spray paint if you though it important enough.
Meanwhile I'm glad to see the weather proofing of the ECU - it's something that has been overlooked on previous conversions and usually it's the SE cars that end up being used in all weathers and discovering that the ECU is vulnerable.
Cheers,
Robin

Re: Project V6 Elise
Dan will probably be refering to the issues many people have had with FPR on other conversions. Those little Alpha ones are cheap, easy/tidy to install and super reliable.
You need a t piece before the regulator, but all tidy.
If yours works, who cares. Sure it will be fine.

P.s keep the updates coming

Re: Project V6 Elise
Today was spent doing some of the wiring, there is another few days of that before firing. I won't be going into any detail on the wiring specifics, but i will say it all looks very easy indeed.
