Wow, Steve, that was quite a find. Where from? eBay I presume?

Most Skoda drivers are. Thankfully, with the money we saved buying at the Value End of the VAG product range, one day some of us might get the privilege to actually become one !!Mike Scib wrote:Wannabe Audi driverStevoraith wrote:think they might even look ok when fitted too.

Me too, on the van, winter Hankooks are far, far better than the Dong Fengs and other crap that were fitted to it. Still wearing well and no issues with handling etc.
Better traction on wet grass too.

Re: Winter tyres. Discuss.
Just ordered a set of 4 All Season tyres for my A4 Avant from http://www.mytyres.co.uk. Decided on Goodyear EAGLE VECTOR EV-2 + 225/45 R17 94V XL AO @ £119.80 each inclusive of vat & delivery.

I had originally planned to go for pure winter tyres but noticed my current back 2 are near the end of their life so would have to buy 6 tyres (2 summer + 4 winter). Plus the fact that I only have the one set of wheels I plumped for the Goodyear All Season. Reckon I'll get more for my money and they should be ideally suited to the Scottish climate
Will be able to do a good comparison as the wife's S-Max has a full set of Yoko W drive winter tyres ready to go back on, used them last year and hugely impressed.

Re: Winter tyres. Discuss.
yeah mytyres can be a bit weird with credit cards even when you pass it, search on seloc and you'll see if it matches responses other people have had. Can you use a paypal option? seems to go through easier with them.

Re: Winter tyres. Discuss.
Paypal doesn't appear to be an option and went the credit card route in case something went pear-shaped and I would have some protection, wont get that with a bank transfer.KevD wrote:yeah mytyres can be a bit weird with credit cards even when you pass it, search on seloc and you'll see if it matches responses other people have had. Re: Winter tyres. Discuss.
I've seen this discussed on other forums befire. Basically mytyres won't accept a credit card payment if it's the first time you have ordered from them which seems to be a good way of putting off new customers
Some poeple reckon that if you cancel your order and then re-order you will be able to use your cresit card because you will already be on the system as an existing customer. Don't quote me on that though.....
