If it works fine on full tank, the first place I would be looking is fuel pump/pickup.

I think that he means that it is OK in VTEC and that he has a full tank, but it is idle and lower end where the problem lies.

No fault codes on ECU.
It is running rough on idle and before V-Tec.
In V-Tec its fine.
It’s also fine when the engine is cold.
Once it warms up its running rough as a bag of spanners until V-Tec kicks in.
Colin has had it at Clarks Motorsport in Kintore on advice that the valve timing pre V-Tec needed adjusting. They handed it back saying it was fixed and apparently it lasted a morning before the rough running came back. Apparently Clarks are not sure which way to go with it now.

I've not spoken to them this is just what Colin said on the phone.

Colin - hope you don’t mind me posting this but thought it may take you a week to type it. :thumbsup

Colin, how much would charge for 3 days work ?. You can't expect a garage to work for free.

This is a special car and you will struggle to find a garage that can work on the car for a cheap rate, what doesn't help is you feed the garage/mechanic with all the sh*t you've picked up from all the different people you've asked. Let the garage diagnose the fault and fix it. take advise from the people who know what they're talking about and ignore the others.

If you're going to continue to do 25000 miles  a year, best to find a garage that you can take the car too if anything goes wrong (which it will). Build up a bit of a relationship, as don't think working on it yourself is such a good idea.

As ever, i will help. All you have to do is ask when i'm free rather than "you need to look at the 340R" or "ned honda look, thks col" :D

Alan

P.S This isn't meant to be cheeky or short, just trying to offer some useful advise.
