Hey Shug,

One of the few things I can say with certainty...your dad will always be with you. :)

Take care,

Frank

Cheers.

Little one now asleep - and I'll clink - or tink with a can of cheapo lager!

Your good health Shug.

Mug of coffee raised, Shug :cheers

My dad passed away a few years back and it does indeed put a lot of stuff into perspective.

..."too much 'king perspective!", you might even say (if you can appreciate that wee quote from "Spinal Tap" ;)).

Thanks everyone. Gave me a funnily warm feeling to have him remembered, even if the vast majority toasting never met the guy. Appreciated :)

Amazing timing Shug,

I had the privlage to attend a funeral this afternoon for a wonderfull old lady that Mags and others gave 24 hour care for, over the last four years right up to her very last hours, Mags left an hour before she saddly slipped away aged almost an impressive 102 .

I had met this amazing lady now and again when Mags and her would pop in to the house out on their travels around the county in her wee Micra, enjoying a bite and a wee tipple( the old lady not Mags as she was driving  ) here and there. She always remembered me every time I met her which was rather nice.

It struck me today at the graveside that after living through two world wars, five differant people sitting on the throne and all the changes in her time..she had very little family to attend her last few moments on this earth.. . It was a lovely touch that all her carers had a cord each as they were her family over the last years and it had been hard on Mags and her co workers over the last few weeks dealing with her last moments.

I would like to think everyone in old age had this standard of care given to this old lady.

I had true respect for her and all the hard work her care people did and do today .

Sorry I missed this Shug - a couple of drams from the Scotland - Norwich import selection will be consumed in his honour tonight. Hope you're well.
