I'll stick details up on VX220 site, just finished a hoon round Scotland and a few seem more than a little keen to see more of the place we call home :D

Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

Lets hope we get todays weather for the TT weekend. Just realised its just over a month away, really looking forward to it now especially as works not been great lately.

I now have to cancel the rooms at the Alexandra in the next four days that have not been taken. I booked 50, but only 32 out of 36 in the database have been confirmed, so if there is no change then I will have to cancel 18 on Tuesday.

For KH we need 44 just to cover the booking fee, and we have 30 that have paid out of 36 in the Database. That is half of the previous TT's.

I am now regretting going ahead with this, with five weeks to go and people not even bothering to put their details in the Database. It is all very well being enthusiastic when it is first announced, but as it stands now Mike and I are £1400 short for KH, not to mention the shortfall for the caterers on Saturday.

Mike is still away for three weeks and it seems to be pointless putting out these posts, so I will step back now and see what happens.

We could each put in another £50 to help with the costs.

Thirty people putting in the same amount would give you £1500.

Tut I can understand your problem, "its all about cash in pocket" Mags and I have not commited to TT this year , as yet  ... off my SUW walk and not knowing the 160 would be running or not  , we would love to come along. However the only way we could do it would be ,if I forgo the trackday , the 160 might go bang, then camp at Fort Bill etc and pay Craig for the Hog roast and intertainment etc, we will be there in one form or another.

Tut,

I was caught properly badly on this - you've had the money for the hog roast and for god sake don't worry about refunds or the like (not that it'd make much difference) but Elaine told me a couple of weeks back that she'd booked something for my birthday that she couldn't move and it was on TT weekend. I wasn't impressed, but as it's a present, I can't really throw it back in her face.

Turns out I'm going for a long weekend to Palma - which is one of my favourite places. Genuinely, though, I'd rather be hooning across Scotland (especially if we get the traditional TT weather), but with all the work she put in making sure that she could get it organised behind my back, I can't exactly tell her to stuff it.

I can't answer for anyone else. Money is tight this year, but what's being offered way outweighs the cost - it's minuscule. I can't understand why people are being so lax about paying when they've said they'll come. Frankly, not on. In your position, I'd not be keen to be involved in organising another. :(

Can we open this (the trackday) up to others? Invite some pals who are petrolheads? I know one of two peeps who may well be up for it.

Shug, you and a few others have informed me that they are unable to make it, and that is quite understandable.

I have made a note of those in the DB where it will be a late decision, and when I first said that it was going ahead I pointed out that there was no commitment until we had to actually make payments ourselves. As in previous times I have cancelled cheques or returned payments for those that have genuinely had to cancel because of unforeseen circumstances, but not for those that have just decided to do something else at the last minute instead. Even up to the last week I have arranged swaps for KH if I could, but I had sufficient numbers that even though payments were made late I would not be in the red, and in fact I was able to cover all the booze and only charge for food.

However there is no excuse for not filling in details in the Database if your name is in there. If you have problems getting on then just let me have your details and I will enter them, or if you cancel then let me know first. I have had names deleted without even the courtesy to inform me.

Nobody now can not be aware of the circumstances, they are posted in various forms, and the last thing that I want to do is have to make posts like this. Most who have taken part over the years have said it has been one of their favorite weekends, we have a lot of new members since TT2010, but for some reason there are not many that want to take part.

This is not confined to S_E if we can not get the numbers, most of us have friends on other Forums, so please feel free to post on similar Forums to ourselves either for the whole weekend or just KH. Off hand there are Jock7, Scoobies, VX220, and probably more that you are aware of.

There are still five weeks to go, but only a few days for the Alexandra Hotel, so please take action now if you have not already done so.

Bumped the post that Lazy put up of VX200.org.uk. What are the chances of doing Knockhill in reverse as mentioned earlier. Could possible drum up a bit more interest?
