Had a wee seat in it. More refined inside. *much* easier to get in and out of. Would definitely consider it if I was after something a tad more 'practical' than the Elise. (or would consider it as a second car if I was rich!)
Europa, who is it for?
Finally got a chance to see the Europa in the flesh today when I was picking the car up at MMC. Soooooo much nicer in the flesh than in pics. The back end is beautiful (fnar, fnar
).

Ah - so that was you then - I was the chap that showed up in the blue BMW and flip flops, wandered about the workshops for a while and then left - you were taking roof off as I left - should have said hello, so here is a belated:dezzy wrote:Finally got a chance to see the Europa in the flesh today when I was picking the car up at MMC.

VXJON and i went to MMC today to have a wee look at it and I've got to say I was quite impressed. Much much nicer in the flesh then in pictures and it really is much easier to get in and out of.
Graeme commented that he "doesn't give a sh*t" about the press reviews as he's sold 8 so far
. Also commented that its appealing more to "esprit type" customers than Elise guys.
Eventually had to leave when he started talking about "how little" i could get that Exige S for

Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.
....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

I thought it looked great actually - even though there are a lot of Elise-isms in there, it looks it's own car and jolly nice too - I think it's something about the more-or-less flat glass at the back that makes it look different in real life.
Shame it still has 175's on the front, but no doubt there will be an S/R/XXX/PuffDaddyBling variant coming along soon enough ...
Cheers,
Robin

Was surprised at the 175s - exactly the same as the OEM VX ones - which means you are limited to Potenzas and ummm potenzas.
In saying that there are a number of options for the VX / VXT to put slightly wider 16" on the front.
Cant say ive ever felt the need tho

The europa has 17" front and back, so you're even more limited in tyre choice - not many 175x17" out thereLazydonkey wrote:Was surprised at the 175s - exactly the same as the OEM VX ones - which means you are limited to Potenzas and ummm potenzas.

Sorry - my first post didn't really make sense
What I should have said was.....
Both the NA and the VXT have 17" all round and personally i've never felt the need to change but a lot of people in the VX world get a set of OZ's or similar with 17 at the back and a slightly wider 16" at the front. Interesting that if you read any of the roads tests of either model the 17" on the front don't even get a mention.....but owners frequently blame them for everything.....
It is amusing when you pitch up at a tyre dealer to get your fronts changed, and when they take them off they look like space savers. Not what you'd expect on such a sporty looking car. 175/55 17 IIRC.
