Scottish Elise's - A few few years ago.

I especially like the gallery pic of Robin with the 2nd Elise (and aren't you forgetting several other previous Elises or Exiges, mister, or do they not count...!)

I was really just referring to cars that I had owned that were of that vintage. Of course there have been many others, but all more modern.

Black S1 P-reg (traded in against next car).
Silver S1 S-reg (died in Spain).
Blue S2 X-reg (sold, possibly to MMC?).
Silver S1 R-reg (swamp car, sold to Rossini, eventually spaded by somebody else).
Orange S2 N/A Exige, 55-reg (p/x to Gareth, the car still belongs to SE member).
Egor Blue S2 135R, 03-reg (still have it).
Blue 340R, (only had it a week).
Yellow S2 S/C Exige 240 (sold via MMC to SE member).

I did have a deposit on the M250 too ...

Speaking of a wrecked body. I texted Neil earlier that I dreamt of him as I came round after an operation on Monday to laser blast and remove this chuffing kidney stone I've had since we were all at Oulton last year. Odd to dream of him, we were at Spa watching the F1.

I'm really out of touch Robin as there are two cars on your list I didn't know you had.

Ta. Through the worst of it as I had a failing kidney a few weeks ago. I've spent eight days in hospital and two operations over the last month and have another one in two weeks to remove the stent I've been fitted with. Bloody hell it's sore. If you don't drink enough then make sure you start. Loads of men suffer from kidney stones as they get older and they are mostly preventable.

Was at the doc's getting my blood pressure checked yesterday - after an advisory following my BUPA healthcheck last November, at which it was "a little high". Considering I was going through the redundancy process at Logica, it's hardly surprising Nurse yesterday told me that the reading was "perfect" so was polishing my halo all the way home. On foot.

My stone was 11mm by 6mm so quite big and properly stuck! I now have to drink 3 litres of water per day as I have a 50% chance of getting another within five years.


Definitely develop a water drinking habit. I have formed a stone for different reasons but not drinking enough is the most common reason.

When we were on holiday a couple of years ago I had a small kidney stone (that I passed before needing any treatment) and fcuk me it was sore I was also told when I had an unrelated scan last year that I had several small kidney stones so I now drink loads of water and very little alcohol in the hope that they won't grow and that I will pass them without going through the excruciating pain they can cause
