Nice work Xav. Good luck with the next event. Like what you've done with the front clam there too. Must be around this time last year that I was arranging to buy this car. :(

Next round is at Snetterton , but we have to change the clutch. We stuck an old worn one in when building it as we just ran out of funds , but we are double driving it at most events so taking a lot of hammer. Best change it before it gives us any trouble .
Front clam is still in its white gel coat finish, & was given some free vinal, and it just evolved from there. Bodywork will be looked at over the winter .

Just a quick update here for those that might not have made the connection on Seloc , after a great year & our first year in Sprinting (Nitron Seloc Sprint Championship) Jason , who double drives the car with me, finished first in Class and I managed to take the overall win. The best possible result I'd say.

The car which we affectionately have nick named the red shed, has undergone continual improvements, with the latest addition being a new engine and some nice new shocks courtesy of Nitron :cheers .

Next year has all the making of a highly competitive series , which I recon will be difficult to defend our titles.

He's to 2014, & maybe a bodywork makeover over winter, which may involve a change of colour & hopefully shake off that naff nickname

Nightmare Peter! I just saw this thread for the first time. Glad you are OK and you got it all sorted. That road is a complete nightmare. I found that because the elise is so low, people would cut corners heading towards you....resulting in a few near head on collisions....Scary stuff.

I look forward to seeing the replacement. ;)

Jeezo, this thread never seems to go away! Sorry to hear you're selling Xav, but congrats on the success you guys have had with the car, with all the work you've done, this will be a fantastic purchase for someone.

Yep Iain, as Ross said, this was a good while ago, I thought you knew! Hope your liking it out in 'the sticks'?

Ross, the car has never been replaced. I ran with an insurance policy for 51 weeks that never got used again. I decided to give it a few years, with having the wee one I was never going to get to drive the car that much anyway, so replaced the wife's car, and spent far more than intended on my current daily driver. Your old mucker Ross has made it part of his remit to take the p1ss out of me on a weekly basis at the office. I still look at various Loti on a weekly basis! It'll be my 40th in a couple of years, so this will be about the right time, and hopefully V6 Exiges more affordable. Little pressie to myself.
