If I'd not had the kids and the wife being away with the latest batch of kids I'd have been along with my Shed which is significantly faster than Bob's SHED! ;)

Only just got an update latish last night, please see below:

GOLDEN YEARS WEEKEND

Final details of this weekend’s Golden Years celebrations are here!!

Please share the attached poster with all your family and friends.

Where possible, cars involved in the weekend’s events should be at Kames Motorsport Complex, Muirkirk between 9 and 10am.

Highlights include M-Sport, Ford World Rally Team (Jarri-Matti Latvala's) WRC Finland (2010) winning car, a Connaught Grand Prix car, demonstration drives from competition drivers including Jimmy McRae (Former British Rally Champion) and passenger runs around the track, in competition cars with proceeds being donated to local charities.

Admission is free with various games and entertainment for kids, music from Muirkirk Pipe band and the café will be open selling hot and cold drinks and snacks.

Copies of “A History of East Ayrshire Car Club”, 50th Anniversary pin badges and window stickers, and membership application forms will also be available over the weekend.

and

Hi alan. David must've forgot what with going to his dads this week. Gates open at 9am both days with things getting underway at around 10.30. All drivers are invited to do passenger runs on both days and competition cars to demonstrate different forms of motorsport on sunday. There will obviously be no charge to drivers willing to do passenger or demo runs. All they require to do is sign on and complete an application for temporary membership, if not already members of eacc. Press releases went out last week and final details will be posted tonight to the website, facebook and e-mailed to club members. Hope this helps, but if you need any other info let me know. If you could also confirm which cars are coming and when, that'd be great. Thanks

As per the last line, can those coming to the day please confirm they will be there and on which day. I'll pass the info on.

Sorry for the late communication.

I'll definitely be there Saturday.

Any rules on long sleeves tops, helmets etc?

Can I put my name down for Sunday please? Would it be OK to bring the Caterham?

Not sure about long sleeve tops, but with the Kames weather I think I've always had something warm on. Helmet to be worn on track at all times.

Make sure the battery is securely located, but there's nothing you should have to do beyond check fluids etc... Not sure of the helmet situation to be honest, everyone I know has taken their own.

Gutted, looks like I'm struggling for tomorrow... was supposed to be in work early evening but migration running ahead of schedule and looking like I'll be in for midday.

Still not tracked the Evora and was really looking forward to it..fingers crossed I get a text in the middle of night saying there's a delay! :-)

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Cheers that would be great :thumbsup
Weather looking good, maybe not as sunny as today.
Might go a wee blast beforehand if I drag myself out of bed early enough.
