1) Showed even the slightest inclination to take up golf.
2) Grew a beard.
3) Bought a private plate as they are strightly for vain plonkers.
dont think she`d like me then -

1) I love golf (handicap 6)
2) stroking stubble
3) have just bought DE56NER

 :D

Its on retention until either I get a new van to put it on, or an 06 exige S is £25k. :)

So a few months then.

Nothing against golf per se, just have this fear of waking up one day and thinking that white shoes, slacks and a pringle sweater are rather fetching :) :)

I must admit I looked at S24 TUS for £250.
But being reminded by someone that I once said that it doesn't matter how clever a number plate looks, they all spell W4NK3R kind of put me off.

True that paul -

I paid £500 for mine, knowing that someone wanted £35k for DE51GNR.

While I know DE56NER isnt worth near that, some dude who posts on Pistonheads and deals plates reckoned I may get £10k for it. Yes please!

My dad also bought JKE11Y in the late 80`s for £400 on a van, and sold it in the late 90`s for 10k.

Lots of sh*t plates floating about too at daft money (things like HU56LER at £30k) which is nonsense.

plus its fun and a talking point.

I have K 3AOR on the 340 and I have just put Y77OCS on my L200.

Waiting until November when the 07 plates are relised. Thinking on SC07TYC. Might cost me a few £££ as I will have to buy a new car to put it on?.

I have the 56 plate on retention till I get a new enough car to put it on. I would imagine that the DVLA will put SCO7TY * plates to auction (or at least some of them) but you might be lucky like I was.

I once saw LOG 1N: with the two black screws at the end of the plate for the colon. Nerdy but kinda cool if you are old enough to remember command line interfaces etc.
