Never noticed this thread before but the timing is perfect for me. I was thinking about digging out my wheel and racing seat to get back into GT5/6. The problem i have with the console games as mentioned is the lack of tracks, especially smaller regional tracks like KH. Never considered buying a gaming PC and going down that route due to the hassle of getting it all to work but maybe things have moved on in compatibility side.
If PC games give a much broader track base to play, and consequently "learn" the tracks then may have to look at going down that route. I am not really that bothered about the feature rich console content and more about the physics so that there is more of a real feel to it all that just thumping round some arbitrary track as fun as that can be.

Not offloading a ps3, but I could sell you a 2600 ;)

I ordered GT6 this morning for 19.99 from Amazon, from what I gather, it's as you'd expect if you know anything about the GT series. Looks nicer than the previous, better car models, similar gameplay, but I think they've concentrated on improving the controls via wheel, still has lousy engine sound (but don't let that put you off tbh!) and probably lots more crap jazz music (but not sure) :blackeye

I still play 5 occasionally online with a friend, so we both upgraded as the rumour is the GT5 online servers are being turned off in May.

Personally, I'm hoping for slicker menus / gui and i'd be happy with 20 quid spent!!
