Autosolo 15th Mar, Johnston
Autosolo 15th Mar, Johnston
I think there are a few of us planning to take part in this event;
Dear Competitor
Scottish Sporting Car Club’s 2014 competition season continues on Saturday 15 March with our tarmac-based Spring Autotest 1, to be held at the premises of W H Malcolm in Johnstone. This event will consist of an AutoSOLO, an All-Forwards Autotest and a Production Car Autotest. The event is a counter in the SSCC Club and Autotest championships, and also a counter in the Winter Autotest Challenge 2013/14 run between SSCC and EACC.
The AutoSOLO (classes 1, 2 and 3) is for road-going cars (registered, taxed and – if appropriate – MoT’d) which are driven to the event. The course is like that for an autotest but more open and flowing, in that there is no reversing and no tight turns, so it is less damaging to the car. It really is an event at which you can just turn up and “run what you brung” and has proved extremely popular down in Englandshire. If you’ve always fancied having a whirl around an autotest but only have a normal road car now’s your opportunity.
Cars in the All-Forwards Autotest need not be taxed or MoT’d, so classes 4, 5 and 6 cater particularly for those vehicles kept specially for competition.
The Production Car Autotest – class 7 - will run in parallel with the main event, and is intended for the less experienced/younger competitors, using series production cars only.
Supplementary Regulations for this event are attached and also can be downloaded from the Club’s website at www.scottishsportingcc.co.uk Entries for the event close on Wednesday 12 March 2014 (please note that the Entries Secretary is Robert May, whose contact details are included in the Regs).
We look forward to welcoming you to Johnstone on 15 March.

I can't make this one.
As long as you don't do anything stupid like order tickets to an event on the wrong day then I'm sure youll beat me in the winter series.

Oooft, the car will just have had its lick of paint. But I was disappointed to miss the last one. Will check if it's even a possibility with the boss.

I am meant to be down in Manchester that weekend. If you win don't feel like it's a hollow victory or anything
