Gopro cameras
Re: Gopro cameras
I mentioned the remote as often the phone app isn't as convenient. But the viewfinder capability of the app is essential.
As Andy says there are now several options other than GoPro from Muvi, Sony and others.

Andy,
What are the HP Cameras like? Off white water rafting in the atlas mountains in May and the hp ac-200w seems really keenly priced at £140, no real reviews anywhere though

Re: Gopro cameras
I've a GoPro3 Black which I picked up in Colorado last year, while 'boarding there - Paid $399.99, which equated to around £247 at the time.
(Big difference over there!
)
The GP app for iPhone is pretty handy, but leaving the camera with WiFi switched on decimates the battery in no time.
As a result, I've recently picked up a couple of spare batteries, made by a 3rd party - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sendy-Batteries ... opro+sendy
(They're 1200mAh, and seem to last a decent bit longer than the OEM battery does).

Re: Gopro cameras
Does anyone know what the policy is regarding having a helmet mounted camera?
The footage might not be any good and the angle might not show too much once in the car but I was thinking about these the other day (after a friend sent me his ski-ing video):

I assume they wouldn't let you out on track with it on your bonce tho?

This is a good side by side test of the HP vs GoPro 1 and GoPro 3
Looks like a no brainer to me going by the price and specs

Re: Gopro cameras
Interesting, I wonder why the filthy lenses on the GP1 and GP3 have absolutely identical dirt marks whereas the HP lens is nice and clean . . . the sceptic in me would suggest that the footage is not, in fact, from two different GP cameras at all . . .
Re: Gopro cameras
Gopro3 Silver arrived today - happy with it so far. Now I can record all crap driving
