Looking for inspiration or guidance. Looking for smart, not necessarily formal, watch budget £150-£200. New or old doesn't matter. Any thoughts?

Quartz or auto? Case size?

At that price point, something from the Swatch group (Tissot / Hamilton / Certina) is probably a good bet.

Hamilton Jazzmaster - 38mm case, so 'mid-size'

Hamilton Khaki Field - 42mm case, so 'full size'

Certina DS Podium

If you fancy a chrono, the Tissot V8's a nice looking watch

(Especially on a chunky / padded leather strap)

Seiko aren't a bad shout, too - Great build quality, and very reliable.
