When I wrote off my last one I brought it home and kept a hold of it until they gave me a decent valuation. The assessor was a Muppet and his report was full of inaccuracies. I eventually settled on almost double their starting number.
If you're not living on the edge you're wasting too much space!

Take as many photo's as you can, walk all round the car with a video camera and don't tell him anything á they will try to twist anything you say and use it to reduce the value.

Absolutely, he can look and make his own assessments without my input.

Actually if he comes after 1400 on Wednesday neither of us will be home, but the car will be parked at the front of the house.
