Hmmm... not sure I agree with that actually.... The new NEC plasmas for example have a lifespand of 40-60,000 hours which is the same as that quoted for LCD and plasma still has the best reputation for picture quality when you're talking about a video source. We still sell a lot more plasmas than LCD.

Sony plasmas are pretty cack anyway..... they often just bought the panels and speakers etc. from other manufacturers, bodged them together and stuck their badge on them. When LCD came on the scene, Sony said it would never work..... ended up costing them jobs across Europe when they had to spend mega bucks playing catch-up on folk like Samsung.

Your obviously a man in the know and deal with this more than I do that's just what I've taken from looking around on the net and reading up on flat panels, I'm just a bit sceptical about buying a Betamax instead of a VHS ahah if you know what I mean

You are not far off there, now are we talking HD ready 1366 X 768 or True HD 1920 X 1080 ?

Don't worry tooo much about the number of HDMI inputs.... I can always sell you a lovely AV receiver with HDMI switching built in..... it'll go superbly with a nice AMX control system tooo since it is RS232 controllable..... :D

If it helps... we have accounts with a number of stand manufacturers ... like this one for example

Cheers!
