That's good news Hamish, looking forward to seeing him at KH if he makes it there.

Needless to say the coil packs made no difference but thanks for the loan. If it is OK I will bring them down to KH on the 16th.

Good to hear he's making strong progress! You'll need to get him a turbo trainer soon for that bike :thumbsup

Just to make an update on this page on Lachie and his condition.
At the start of May Dr's voiced concern about the effectiveness of the form of Chimotherapy he was on was no longer effective
and he was swapped on to a more aggressive form of Chimotherapy which involved twice weekly visits to the hospital
and taken off the thalidomide

On each of the last two weeks he has he put it been 'kidnapped' for tests without even having a change of cloths or phone charger and
on Saturday he had to sneak out of the ward to put the parking permit from the hospital while they had forgotten to reconnect his drip .

After another batch of test 's last week they had planned to send him back to the Beatson in Glasgow next week they released him for the weekend
and readmitted him again this week to carry out further tests.
Today we were informed that his condition is terminal and he will no longer be heading over to the Beatson.
We don't know as yet when or whether he's coming home.

I'm a bit numb tbh hang in there Bro luv n hugs Hamish

Really sorry to hear that Hamish & Lachie, no words can express what either of you are feeling just now, far less be any comfort. All of us here are thinking of you both.

Thanks all,
Just home from visiting him from what he say's the Myeloma returned in a more aggressive form precluding the option to try a stem cell transplant or bone marrow or kidney transplant which I would gladly have given him, no time limit as yet but the suggestion is that his body is riddled with Meyloma, They are still trying to restore more of his kidney function and have no plans to put him on Dyalisis and we done as yet know whether they are looking to keep him in indefinetly or let him come home with a care package
cheers Hamish
