Sadly Lachie passed away in his sleep Thursday 19th June 2014

He had taken a sudden turn for the worse, just the Thursday before he had walked his partner out of the ward and was chatting with the other lad's in the ward.
However something burst inside him and caused an infection which took over and although the Dr's and nurses did all that they could the antibiotic's were ineffective we were able to spend the last few days with him and just keep him as comfortable as possable

I know he read this thread and took comfort from your thoughts and wishes

Thanks again Hamish

"Sadly Lachie passed away in his sleep Thursday 19th June 2014"

Saddened to read this as whilst I hadn't had the pleasure of meeting Lachie I was following the thread and it all was so positive.
Condolences, and thoughts are with family and friends.

Just read this on Spazz Hamish, and although we knew I did not realise it would be this quickly.

There are 30 of us here from S_E, all are thoughts are with you and your family. Hard to believe that I was talking to him at KH a few weeks ago and he was looking good.

All the best to you all in such a sad ending.
