Indecision

Post by tut » Wed Jul 09, 2014 9:34 pm

With Verian away I am cooking for myself. Had lamb kidneys on toast for brunch with a couple of glasses of bucks fizz, and also took out two confit duck legs for dinner.

Problem is that I had some goose foie gras this afternoon, so should I have the duck and indulge in gluttony, or just settle for an omelete with my chuckies eggs and shaved white truffle flakes on top?

Tut,

You'll regret it if you over indulge :-)

Buck's Fizz with lamb kidneys? Philistine...;)
Surely a nice dry red...

I suppose excusable as it was brunch. :D

Quite correct Ali, just that I had opened the fizzy as an aperitif so carried on with it.

However the duck will be washed down with a reasonable Burgundy, thanks to Clare's wedding collection.

I did try to get him to order the butterfly prawn for a repeat of the Norwich episode of "Tut bamboozles the waiter" but he had already worked out his menu :-)

Tut, I hope not!

'll call Katie and ask her, but the bad news is that it looks like the car didn't lock properly last night (maybe because one of the doors was open a tad - I haven't quite managed to figure that out yet) and somebody syphoned all the diesel out and nicked some petty cash I had in the console. If your blue badge was there, what's the betting they nicked that too!!! I'll ask Katie to nip out and check, though.

Cheers,
Robin
