As per the emerald manual, I'm meant to unplug injectors, whats the best way to achieve this? Found this article
http://www.midlandslotus.co.uk/forum/to ... stallation but its stil not clean how the heck you get to the connector

. I'm a 96 S1 MPi with the cream injectors incase that makes any difference
Any help greatly appreciated

Don't think I've ever bothered with that when plugging and unplugging an Emerald (and I did it a few times) I'd say just disconnect the battery. Would wait for more electronically sympathetic people than I to comment though.

Thanks Shug, I managed to pick it up 2nd hand so its not a k-series base map thats in it at the moment, think it's a honda s2000 engine. Once its powered I can upload the correct map for my kseries

I've never bothered with disconnecting injectors, and rarely disconnect the battery TBH. Just plug it in and interrogate the ECU with Emerald software, upload new map and away you go, sort of

You won't need to disconnect - if you're worried about accidental overfuelling before you get it configured just remove the fuel pump fuse.

Another query, does anyone have the ECU config for a K Series for a K3. On the K3 it seems that the MAP and ECU Config are now in 2 separate files. I have a similar map for my engine but not the config

. Using the emerald software I can't seem to be able to import the older .fig files listed at
http://tripleeracing.co.uk/academy2004/emeraldmaps/ which include both map and config. I've emailed Emerald themselves but was wanting to try out the new ecu at the weekend (inpatient I know!!

)
Thx

Usually Karl at Emerald is reasonably quick on getting back with that sort of stuff. Pop them a call and chase it up if you really want to get it before the weekend - he'll have the file ready to send, but there might be emails in the queue ahead of yours.

Ach well - hopefully somebody does. Mine was an older M3D, so no config files in my archives anywhere.
