111S - Gear lever not springing back to the middle
111S - Gear lever not springing back to the middle
You physically need to move it left / right - doesnt spring back to the centre
Does anyone know what the cost implications would be to fix the gear lever "springs" or cables
My mate is in the process of buying this car and when we test drove it, i noticed this problem.
Any input much appreciated
Cheers
David

Two negatives make a positive but only in Scotland do two positives make a negative - 'Aye right.'

A few potential causes, no show stoppers but varying expense and degree of difficulty...
Edited to add, Yota or K series?

Re: 111S - Gear lever not springing back to the middle
My old S2 111S suffered from a stiff cross gate crank bush/pivot (ooer) which just needed a lube...
(takes longer to get the undertray off)
Eliseparts do a kit I think if properly worn.
That would be my guess and first thing to check.
Then lube of ball joint on the gear lever (easy too but less likely IMO).

stiff, bush, balls, lube, all before the 2100 watershed.
