Never watch it - you just end up shouting at the telly. I realise that you are probably sitting at home shouting at a blank screen whilst Mrs Pete has retreated to a safe distance :-)

P.S. Saw your car at MMC ... looking lonely!

Suzy's at work, standing orders in the house mean I'm not supposed to watch it alone...

Renmure, splutter, cough, splutter, gulp.

Robin, yeah, we've been away and I forgot to get back to Craig. Needs brakes, again which I need to speak to him abou toot, I'm just not sure how I've burned through a set of discs faster than the pads and in only a very small number of miles.

Well they explains the brake feel the other week. Think you've got alloy bell's so discs unlikely to be rubbish?

Your subliminal messages won't work, Pete is a committed socialist. He even has the hired hands from downstairs up to eat at the family table every now and then on a Friday.

This is what all 4 of my discs looked like after being sat in the garage since Donington. Image

They were pretty worn anyway but think the salt and just sitting for a couple of months took their toll.

As woody says Pete, you must check if you do not know, whether you have MMC's or not.

Did I? :P

It's an S2, so MMC won't fit at all, but I'm pretty sure the car had alloy centers/steel discs Tut.

A BMW dealer told me a few years back that a certain material that used to be used in the manufacture of brake pads became illegal to use around 2008. Since then pads have become far more aggressive and that it's now very unusual to have to change pads without also changing the discs.

Might be nonsense but the dealer was pretty good at most things (and he was changing my discs and pads for free under a service pack so had nothing to gain by feeding me nonsense).
