Would love to go, but it's quite a trek and got a couple of pretty long trips coming up. Have fun.

Think it's a pre-book Campbell, nothing to stop you driving the route of course but might be a possibility to sign up on the day.........maybe drop the organiser a mail.

Have you seen the forecast for Sunday. I was considering putting the roof back on the car. Now I am considering taking off the ZZR's and putting back on the AD07's. Cripes. Ah well, will make the day a whole heap more interesting and the run up the 'Rest and be Thankful' a proper challenge. Handbrake turn on the last bend will be a definate no no if it is wet....

Great day. Weather really was 'Crowded House' special of 4 seasons in 1 day. Thought the snow at Tyndrum was entertaining but nothing compared to when returning to Aberdeen..ZZR tyres are good all round summer options but this evening the weather was decidedly un summmer like. ......pictures at 11.....

Still cannot figure out the right way to post an image..
Was going for a 3hr 20min trip from the Rest and be thankful to Bridge of Don in Aberdeen then ran into some rather inclement weather. The ZZR's give very good grip but faced with standing water, slush and eventualy rivers between Laurencekirk and Aberdeen the average speed took a tumble.
Car is now tucked up in the garage but the snow was a surprise...
Still.....great day.....

Aye we came back over Glenshee with Gary in the Aston. Started to panic a little when the oncoming cars all had 6 inches of snow on their bonnets but the roads across the top were pretty clear. Weather was probably worse on the North Deeside actually but we made some good time regardless.
To be fair the forecast was pretty bad in the run up to it, so having the roof off for 80%+ of the day was all upside. Cracking day. Roll on next year...

Never mind eating the snow. The car was nearly eating some Rest and Thankful rocks just after the tight bridge. Big car, narrow road, right, left (or was it left, right cannot remember) tank slapper....credit where it is due though, sounded like he kept his foot in there....collective woooooaaahhh from the crowd of half frozen onlookers....not sure if anyone got it filmed though as hypothermia has already seen off a number of shutter fingers....
Like I said earlier. Grand day out with a fine bunch of like minded people....

Grand day out, roof down makes all the difference and just wish I'd went quicker on the rest course , definitely look to do more and sharpen my skills a bit !
