Re: V6 Exige to Cayman R
My brother bought this from Tom Hartly a few weeks ago.
He really likes it. Ive not driven it in anger yet, but it seems really nice to drive round town (pdk) and the inside is the best ive seen from Porsche.

Re: V6 Exige to Cayman R
Scotty,
How has your brother got on with the electric steering of the 981? I had a test drive in a Boxster S 981 PDK and it kind of felt disconnected for me and left me a little bit flat. The rest of the car was fantastic however.
Must admit that I would be silly to change cars at the moment as the Spyder has appreciated since I have owned it and no point me jumping into something that will depreciate. I would only change for a GT4 but I have not bought enough "Pork" to be considered by the dealers for an allocation
Suspect they will be at least £10K more (minimum) than list if anyone does sell early doors.
George

Re: V6 Exige to Cayman R
Ok - one thing on my mind.
Currently I've got (apart from the transit van)
2004 Exige & an 09 BMW 335i convertible with DCT (and a digital telly!)
Probably combined valve 32k tops
Would like to replace it with 1 car
Both cars do about 3000 miles a year
Need a back seat for Frank the pug
Would like to do track days in it & everyday use - parking sensors for SWMBO
So short list is an Evora or a 911 or an M3 (3rd place)
But when you drive a 911, you are just a cock with a Porsche
(sorry) and no one lets you out of junctions etc
But when you drive a Lotus - respect on the road. And people talk to you etc when you park up
Not sure what to do.
After Croft - tempted to keep the exige, get a 5k loan and buy an M3
Dunno, heids up ma arse ......

Two negatives make a positive but only in Scotland do two positives make a negative - 'Aye right.'

I completely agree with you on both counts there, I had the "issues" you speak of when I had a Boxster S a few years ago.a4drk wrote:

I've also experienced the friendly glances and chat that the lotus has brought and i do really like the exige,
for me though, (and i'll probably get slated for saying this) the quality isnt there yet for the price bracket they sit in. Just my opinion....

Buying new, I agree.
But preowned, at the right age, with strong residuals, Evoras are more than good enough.
In my meagre, humble opinion.

Re: V6 Exige to Cayman R
I had a boxster s before.
It got keyed - full length and over the bonnet for good measure - probably because I was a Porsche owner
Had a Westfield mega blade, an Elise and a. Exige - no trouble
More I think about it - Evora all the way
