Henderson Taylor
Just orginized insurance through HT. The cup was proving an expensive car to insure through the usual suspects but HT came up trumps at half what REIS quoted and with unlimited TD cover.

Re: Henderson Taylor
They look after both our Lotuses at present, Mike. Also very impressed. Although the business limit on the Evora may prove a problem after Frolic

Re: Henderson Taylor
Just changed to them also for the V6, £50 cheaper than CCI renewal was, much cheaper road excess and unlimited trackdays, bit of a no brainer really!

Re: Henderson Taylor
Just renewed with Henderson Taylor today.
They managed to get it £100 cheaper than last year and on a better policy to boot with agreed value, more miles and unlimited track days.
Always had great service from them

Re: Henderson Taylor
I received a good quote from Henderson Taylor, however Matthew seemed unwilling to answer any of my questions regarding which track days were covered and how many you are entitled to after asking why I was only being offered 6 rather than the unlimited amount a few people seem to get.
Also when I asked for details of the quote to be emailed to myself he was unable to do that, only forwarding a generic policy booklet
Anyway, back with CCI for only a few pounds more

He must have decided you are a bad risk.
Or that you'll be cancelling in a month cos you've, er, sold it

Re: Henderson Taylor
Been with Matt at HT for years, wouldnt use anyone else now for insuring sports cars. All of mine are through him.
Could i get it cheaper if i shopped about? Probably...
Can I be arsed to spend half a day doing it and have to repeat myself over and over to some half brain dead plonker at the end of the phone to save >£50? No!
Once you have an account going with Matt it usually takes no more than a couples of minutes to get quotes on new cars or reinsure existing ones.
When you phone and there is no answer he always returns the missed call (providing you number is visible) as soon as he is free to do so, usually within 10 minutes.
Ok, so im on the golden oldy side of it now and i appreciate he cant help everyone out but as for "taking the sh*t" out of it im happy to pay the man a little extra so i dont have to deal with it. I lose more in time and patience than in money saved.
Unfortunately he doesnt do stuff like 4x4's/pickup's else he would have all my business.

Re: Henderson Taylor
That's the thing, he was cheaper than CCI so it was not about money.
My main concern was with the track days. When I asked if the tracks on Frolics would be covered giving him all the details he said that should be fine, even after pushing he still would not say for sure.
He also said that it is the same underwriter that CCI use. CCI only cover the Paul Ricard track this year (plus Zandy) the tracks must be FIA approved.

Re: Henderson Taylor
Mike,
I've just had all four tracks as confirmed OK for cover thru 1Answer, it took them a bit of time to confirm Ledenon and Le Luc as they had to get back to me later.

Re: Henderson Taylor
Which reminds me. I need to log all that with Matt too...

Just insured the Zenos with HT
Much cheaper than CCI and a lot easier to deal with tbh.
Only got the six TD's covered, Matthew told me that it'll become unlimited after a year with them - additional days are 1/2% of car value so that's not too bad.

Matt has just quoted me happy for year 2 on the Evora.
Down £110 on year 1. Just because

Re: Henderson Taylor
Slightly sensitive question maybe but can anyone give some guidance on what's cheap and what's expensive? On my Elise with REIS I was on around £260 fully comp, mods declared with 6 trackdays. With the Exige that has gone up somewhat. My renewal came in last week and I've just breached the £400 mark. Time to shop around maybe.
Re: Henderson Taylor
hmmm 380quid last year on the VX (2nd year no claims with that car), including trackdays with CCI.

Re: Henderson Taylor
I dont think £400 is that bad for the Exige, given the value of it (obv. yours is a shed Ferg, i meant in general).
I think I am around £330 but I am down in Newcastle and that includeds unlimited track days, agreed value and around 5K miles pa.
