So, many thanks to Andy for a great wee day, we were delayed for 45 minutes in the morning while they swept the track but Andy worked through his lunch fuelled only by an apple and some water to give us as much time as he could and to make up for the lost time in the morning.
Much credit to the boy's patience and ability to spot the things I was doing wrong as fast as i was doing them wrong. Its amazing how abrupt it is when you hit your skill limit, I was relatively spin free until he had me deliberately try letting the car go to to almost full opposite lock using proper rotational steering technique, i just couldn't follow the wheel with my hands fast enough without slowing it causing a spin. I only managed to catch it maybe 2 or 3 times out of god knows how many tries.
Stand out things for me:
* Look where you want to be going, I should know this from Skiing, Snowboarding and Cycling/MTB yet continued to look ahead...
* Understeer is the enemy not oversteer, when he was on the little handling circuit the front was locked down at all times.
Robin, Andy was going to pass a DVD to todays victims to SE pony express up to Scotchland. He gave us DVDs as a good will for losing the time in the morning but only had three. hopefully he remembered
EDIT: Wee video, a lumpy turn to... hey that wasn't too bad... to massive spin...
