Good fun that tracking!! Usually involves hanging out the back or side of the chase vehicle as close to the tarmac as you dare. Then use a slow shutter speed on the camera with the chase vehicle matching the speed of the subject vehicle - dead easy!! One I made earlier below.......
The problems come when other people want to use the roads......
And of course plod don't usually take to kindly to this sort of thing. One fellow snapper was arrested in Spain for hanging out the back of a Ford Focus while taking snaps!!

Well spotted, Nice it is and correct with the street! The 3 lanes each way helped a lot.
