SIDC 14th May
Re: SIDC 14th May
Where do the folks going from Aberdeen usually fill up? BP garage at the service station or straight to knockhill then drive to the shell staiton when it opens at 0800?

Usually the Shell, he generally knows we're coming and opens up a wee bit early.

My cars developed a hesitation at low revs - been suggested it could be coil pack - bit of a long shot but don't suppose anyone has a spare they could bring along just in case?...

Sorry for causing a lengthy delay today chaps, the three wheeler caterham isn't as good as Morgan's version
Fortunately, Neither my car nor my wheel hit anyone else and I simply scraped to a halt, I still enjoyed the day, thanks as always to all who organise.

Re: SIDC 14th May
I'm starting to think I imagined this, but sure on the last lap there was a duck and about a dozen ducklings standing right in the middle of the short straight after the chicane. They weren't there 1 min earlier on the previous lap. Or am I quaking up?

Re: SIDC 14th May
Twas my first time attending this event. Was planning on taking the car out but intermittent knocking did not give me much confidence.
Thanks to Kinger, Martin, Ali M, Doug (with the V6), oh and Chris with the Porsche turbo for the pax rides today. Excellent standard of driving from all. Even though the red flag came out twice whilst in the car with Martin it was still good to get a few laps in.
As much as I enjoyed all the cars today, by far my favorite was Kingers S1 it felt absolutely solid on the corners and is a great example of a car of that spec and age. PS. Happy to do a swapsy for an knocking S2 with you Kinger.
Hope everyone had a safe journey home, including those who had minor mechanical failures.
Will have my name down for the next one.
Cheers
Danny

Thanks to John for running another great day
. Here's a few lap with me and some with Sandy Forrest. He's a brave chap to jump in an unknown car and start doing 56's within a lap or two : Many thanks to him for some good pointers to edge the times down a little more.

Re: SIDC 14th May
Track day cherry popped! Awesome day, loved it. Thanks to everyone's patience waiting on me getting out the way! Missed one or two of you in my mirrors a couple of times. Looking forward to the next one... Hopefully Croft July.
