The Grand Tour thread

Post by campbell » Sat Nov 19, 2016 8:41 pm

Hi folks. Tapatalk has just eaten our lovely The Grand Tour thread. Am currently investigating if / how we can restore it.

Meantime, feel free to start another one...or add further comments below...and we'll merge them back in once normal service resumes.

Sincere apologies. All my fault (with a little bit of Tapatalk slackness thrown in for good measure)

Thank you and goodnight

I have to say, we watched it last night, and it was brilliant! Even the Mrs, who had gone off Top Gear, thought it was great entertainment.
Mind you with a budget of £169m I am not surprised!

Just watched it and the Amazon subscription was worth every penny. A great opener that will be hard to follow, it is rejuvenated from TG but still familiar. Bring on the rest of the series :thumbsup

streamed it last night from put locker. Much the same as it was before, just a mild refresh . Far better than the new TG which follows the old tired format .

No implication it was a straight question.

You have just spent x number of replies berating either Martin or Kelvin for referring to US political appointments as swamp dwellers then hypocritically refer to Facebook as c*nt book implying that the 90% of SE who use it are c*nts.

And please don't craft some massive long reply about why you are right. This is not an engines thread and I do not have the time or inclination to be bothered. That's not SE.

really?

how do you equate my distaste for C**tbook as a slur on anybody that happens to have an account on it?

FWIW, my issue with it is this, it brings out societies worse characteristics, like a school playground on steroids, combine that with cynical marketing, very questionable privacy issues and there you have it.

does that mean I have contempt for anybody because they are on it, no of course not.
