Forgot to ask. Will a 225 (40?) fit?

Might widen the choices.

Sadly no - 215/45 or 215/40 are a common discussion on the Mini forums as a replacement as they are a little cheaper too - but comes with the slight risk of rubbing arches apparently (though I suspect that's only likely on do it yourself lowered examples).

Er. Am I missing something here.

Nankang, Toyo, Uniroyal. £45-£75.

Have used all 3 brands. Currently have Uniroyal RainSport 3 on the TT. Very impressed.

Have you thought about trawling for V6 owners that have swapped tyre types? I know I have a set of fronts which are this size. My ones are promised to a mini owner already as it happens. If money is tight this could be a route into cheap part worn but quality tyres.

Good shout - even better if I can find someone with two V6's - I need four :D

What did the Exige V6 come with as standard out of interest?

As standard the Exige S used to come with Pirelli P Zero Corsa summer tyres and the sizes were.

Front: 205/45 R17 88Y, 32 psi
Rear: 265/35 R18 97Y, 38 psi

Thanks Steve.

There's a couple hitting about on eBay at reasonable prices actually (presumably have cone off a V6) - food for thought...

Cheers
