Boness Revival hillclimb

Post by Evoman » Sun Aug 18, 2019 3:29 pm

This is on in a couple of weekends time on 31 August and 1 September. I've never been, is it a worthwhile day out? Looks like a good mix of cars from many eras, some footage makes the track look a little tight and slow though. Wondered what opinions are on the event?

I was there a couple of years ago and I'd say it was well worth it. Hoping to again this year.
There is a Lotus Club stand. I think they've got about 20 cars so far. Not sure if it's too late to enter. Jim Love from Lotus Drivers Club Scotland is the guy to speak to if you're interested.

Okay thanks for the feedback Duggie, good to hear it's a worthwhile trip. I'm probably going to be tight with time so getting my car on the stand might be difficult though worth giving Jim a heads up to see if I can turn up for some of the day.

Yes also been couple of times. Local enough for us to cycle to.

I have it in the diary for this year but not sure if we will make it.

Great weekend

Might see you there.

There are normally road runs for the classics on the Saturday which can leave the field rather empty Sunday is probably the best day to come along.

I am booked onto the stand for both days however I will be on one of the runs on the Saturday for some of the day.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

there is the classic car show element, LDC & CL usually joint plot.
then the racing up a short hill which is a bit dull depending on pov. Its not Goodwood, Silverstone, or Le Mans.

Are you going to pop in to Leven Lotus for breakfast first?

No I think the plan will be for Dom's crew, Evoman and myself to meet at Bo'ness around 9ish on Sunday morning.

Quite looking forward to it as never been...
