Yeh, I disagree. Two people at my work bought Tesla’s because they got an interest free loan and they were cheaper to run. Everyone else doesn’t give a crap about electric and just wants a flashy car to show off to their mates and neighbours with.

I think Brexit will do more to fcuk up air travel then climate change concerns.

I am not sure about that, I think the general public are very attached to nice vehicles even at additional expense up to a point. I think the issue is really about our current economic situation resulting in delayed purchasing decisions. Its about confidence to spend, although have no evidence to back that up :)
When I was in Aston Martin the weekend before it went into administration, I was informed that the Aston dealership had one of their bumper year with sales.

it was indicated that people were so sick fed up with the "is it happening/is it not" on Brexit that they got the car regardless (maybe something to do with the income bracket for new Aston owners rather than your day to day motors).

We obviously do not know the real reason yet for the administration but I suspect the large amount of money they were having to put in to revamp the showrooms to satisfy the marques criteria probably did not help any cash flow with the large outlay and interest they would have had to pay on such an undertaking.

I know your 'it' refers to Leven, but this is one car company that looks to be having a tough time. The Leven dealership might be saying that but the bigger picture for AML currently isn't very rosy. Floated 15 months ago at £19 per share they almost dipped below £4 last week. Geely are reportedly sniffing around so that has given them a little bounce this week and whilst there might be an outcry from some at a foreign investor taking over such a long standing british manufacturer, to me that sounds better than one of the potential outcomes. Having to issue bonds at 12% to raise capital, rising to 15% if orders aren't met - and some journo's saying they need to raise a lot more capital - shows you the level they have to pitch at for investors to take on the risk. They are rated well into junk bond territory by S&P. I hope your line is not a prophecy :(

Heard on facebook that its back to business as normal for Aston Martin Edinburgh.

Don't know anything more and does not appear to any more info online so don't know if it extends to Lotus as well?

Leven Lotus adverts appearing as newly posted on PH again .... if that can be taken as a good sign .... maybe automated, never really sure how it works for dealers.

I think that's automated.

I would imagine there will be re-brand if bought by a new owner. :scratch
