I agree, sensible solution while knee jerk reactions happen all around. Plus...don’t have to pretend to listen to the briefing

I hadn't heard about these changes - That all sounds a much better plan and a good way forward.

I was in two minds about going but have decided to give this one a miss.

Not too concerned about myself, maybe wrongly, but don’t want to risk passing on to my mother who’s 90.

Slot available if anyone wants it.

Cheers,

Brian

Sorry got not catchup up on here, it's been a busy few weeks at work for me and lots of other stuff going on that is affecting everyone.

Latest news is that the briefing will be in the open air pit lane/garages, indemnity form done online (you should have recieved an email from Knockhill), and Kinnairds closed to minimise the risk.

I have 3 people looking to sell their slot now - so if anyone is interested please get in touch.

John

I think given how things are panning out it would be pretty irresponsible For KH to proceed. I was very much ‘this’ll pass, won’t be that bad, a few minor changes’ etc etc. But it’s rapidly escalating into a total clusterfcuk. I’m in WhatsApp chats with a few GP’s and they have totally changed their tune in the last few days, they know what’s coming and I think realise we perhaps missed the window to avoid an Italy scenario, and perhaps get it worse.

Many thanks John for organising today’s track day given the unusual circumstances. I had a fantastic time, great to be back and as always the paddock banter was good as ever, even from or at distance to each other. Also appreciated is the extra effort on alternative approach to sign on and briefing too. Worked well and maybe a better way to do it even. Thankfully I wasn’t the cause of any red flags today as there were a few. Overall driving etiquette/ standards were good as ever at SIDC events. Look forward to seeing some photos when they get uploaded. Thanks once again.

Yes, thanks John I had a great time. Think it was the race car boys who were mainly going off!

The new approach re sign-on, bracelets and briefing worked well - not sure the briefing would have been popular in the rain!

Some great cars out on track today too and I took the opportunity to self isolate in my car through going home the long way through Powmill; Glendevon; Gleneagles; Crieff; Amulree; Dunkeld; Meikleour then home. Some of the best roads in Scotland and dead quiet!

What a day! Really cheered me up with all the "mess" flying around right now.

Glad you all enjoyed the day, and the new procedures didn't hold things up too much and didn't put anyone at risk. It's not very often we get a driver's briefing from a multiple BTCC champion!

It might be the last one for some time the way things are going. Lets hope things are starting to get back to normal in 3 months when our next one is booked for.

I'll slowly get through the photos over the next few days.

The very cold track temperature seem to catch a few out and caused a few of the red flags, along with a few mechanical niggles.
