Your Top 10 Cars - ever

Post by campbell » Thu Oct 14, 2021 12:49 am

An armchair competition stolen from EVO magazine this month

3 rules:

1. You must have driven it
2. A manufacturer can feature only once in your list
3. It must be road legal

I haven’t owned cars from enough different manufacturers to be able to play (and nor do I change cars often enough either!).

But there are some on here who do / did so I’m looking forward to spectating

Right. Who’s first?

That's quiet tough... I could prob do a list of 10 lotuses, but need to pick only one?.... this will require some thought...

Remember he may not have owned them all

Rule 1. You must simply have driven it (that’s all)

The picture was a present given to my by Sandra a number of years ago as some of my favourite drivers cars we have owned.
Image

As this fails the rules I have listed my top 10 here:

Porsche Boxster Spyder (owned)
Lotus Elise S1 111S (owned)
Mitsubishi Evo FQ-330 (owned)
Ford Puma (owned)
Aston Martin DB11 (driven)
VW Golf Gti PP (own)
Subaru Impreza Sti (test drive but plumped for Evo)
Nissan GTR (shot from a mate)
Audi RS4 B8.5 (owned)
Mercedes AMG C63 Estate (test drive but plumped for a sensible BMW 335D)

Most notable others was a Seat Lupo 1.0 courtesy car (while the Leon Cupra was in for a service). Enjoyment came from spanking it down the A68 with maximum concentration to maintain momentum so I could overtake any car in its path Image
Alpine A110S
Mini JCW
Land Rover Defender Puma 90
Land Rover Series 2a softop

Well done you two, raised the bar a little

I definitely can’t post a list now. I think I might struggle to reach 5.
