Can i look at your s2 Elise?

Hello all

(new member)

I am in the hunt for an S2 Elise, currently thinking late K series but also considering the Toyota ones.

Only problem is that so few around for sale up here in Scotland that it’s hard to see very many at all before potentially purchasing. Does anyone have an S2 Elise i could just come and, er, have a look at to get a bit of a clue? (I’m in Edinburgh)

I do not want to drive your car (obviously I would not dare ask) and I promise I am not some kind of weird lotus elise-based serial killer.

You just missed the Lotus Drivers Club meet on Sunday in Falkirk.

3rd Sunday of every month apparently (Sunday was the first one I have been to)

I'm in Edinburgh (Buckstone).
You're more than welcome to have a look round my 2007 S2 anytime.
There's also a bit of a breakfast meet this Sunday at South Queensferry. It's not exclusively lotus, although there will probably be a few there. The breakfast is at Scott's Restaurant at 10:30, but there is a boat trip planned 9:30-10:30 first.

Yaaarp. Lotus Drivers Club - run by Jim Love.

Unfortunately they use Facebook to organise it, but it’s 3rd Sunday every month 10-12 at the Macdonald Inchrya as far as I understand it.

I have a Toyota engined variety. Technically an S3 but still welcome to come and kick the tyres.

I’m in Linlithgow.

Might also be able to nudge my buddy Robin (on here occasionally!) to bring out his K series S2 as well. He’s actually THE guy you need to talk to cos he’s had ‘em all

Hi Mike,

Welcome to look at mine, but it's not here right now ... I'll post on this thread when I get it back and if you still want to take a look you're most welcome (also in Edinburgh).

I have one of the last VVC S2 in the hope that it might not break down quite as often as the earlier K16 variants did. They all have idiosyncrasies (or, if you prefer, blatant design faults, poor manufacturing quality, leaky bits, etc.).

Hello all, what a friendly welcome. Thanks! My S2 elise plans are firming up it seems. Not many cars about at the moment though, so just sitting and waiting for one to come up for the time being. I was busy yesterday so couldn’t make the meet mentioned but will look to get along to one. And I may well PM some of you. Thanks so much for the friendly response.
