For a variety of reasons I’m having a break from skydiving, which could end up being permanent – we’ll see. Over 1200 jumps now.

Apparently an 8% price rise for any Emira specced after May - which means all the i4s :(
I suppose it’s inevitable but not good news for deposit holders.

Looks great especially in a metallic similar to Daytona Blue :thumbsup

Have you got an Emira on order Keith ?
I know you previously mentioned a friend had.

Haven’t seen many on the roads about Hamilton yet, hopefully that will change soon.

Hi Ian, I don’t and am sticking with my Evora for now, but brother and friend both do currently but both look like getting deposits back as they feel it’s been a bit of a rocky road - due dates now a year later than originally quoted, price rise before delivery and still not been able to secure test drives.
There was an expectation of delays and I get price rises are disappointing although probably inevitable, but dealer apathy and lack of contact is inexcusable.

Exactly my opinion as well and why I cancelled my order in the end. Seems to be a major disconnect between the factory and the call centre. I hated the “experience” of dealing with a call centre for a car purchase, it’s just not for me. I must be old fashioned and like going to the dealer and sitting down with sales person to discuss/buy a car.
On the plus side the repeated delays allowed me time to save up more money to buy the car I’ve always wanted so every cloud and all that!
Your Emira looks lovely Mark and very similar to what I had specced, (mine would have had diamond cut wheels)

I see JayEmm has reviewed a local Emira on the A90 to Glamis road.

Nice to see that stretch being used as a road I've driven probably thousands of times, also interesting to see what you can do with footage of about 5 miles of road :)

Totally agree on the customer comms. Lotus just haven't figured out that if you are going to cut the dealers out with the 'agency' model then they need to replace it with effective communication and customer care of their own. Their customer care team are an outsourced outfit, and while they are pleasant enough, most of the time they are completely clueless as they have such limited information from Lotus HQ.

Anyway, while I am here another gratuitous pic of the car :D

Bloody lovely

Nearly bought a MINI in that colour scheme last week. Reminded me of the Emira combo very much
