Yep, I rarely drive mine without wearing Pumas. Wore it with my trainers on the way to the gym once and almost overshot a junction cos I hit the brake and caught the accelerator at the same time :?

Been snapping - updated avatar doesn't do it justice - it's worse than it looks but could've been much worse. Ah well, off to bed for a sleepless night worrying.

I'm sure the rest of you are all well aware of the conditions at this time of year but take care all the same.

It happens to us all Jon, and it's definitely a good lesson to learn early! I have definitely learned my lesson and was thankfully lucky enough to not have any damage to the car . . . just pride!

I now stick to below 4k rpm in the wet and don't go near the 2nd cam in the yota engine.

Glad you're okay and hope the repairs don't cost too much! :thumbsup

As for these pumas . . . I was going to get a pair, then I thought I'd be a bit different! Got these instead: http://www.schuhstore.co.uk/item_main_f ... ref=190329 Not quite as small and thin as the pumas, but getting there. I like to be different! 8)

Hi Jon,

I had an off last year causing £5000 damage at 30 miles an hour. It is just one of those things the car will get repaired and you will be able to have fun in her again.

Just glad to hear you are all right. Take it easy mate.

mate, if the avatar is supposedly showing the damage - doesn't even look worth bothering about. Leave it be, as if you get it repaired, you'll just cack yourself every time you hear a stone pop up and hit the clam again. Enjoy caring less - you can always get it repaired before you sell :)

-oh, should say I did the very same thing to mine, blasted into the armco and have a wee scuff to show for it that I've left exactly as it was since it happened :)

Thanks for the encouraging words. Did some phoning round this morning and I've just dropped it of at a coachworks in Murrayfield. The most careful drive I've ever taken!! Looking at about £400 for repair and paint

I was tempted to leave it for a while but it does look a lot worse than the picture suggests and I felt sorry for her.
