sounds like a great FUN place. one piece of advice... (source: a friend of mine from nigeria) get the local transport officer in ur pocket! and u probably can be the king on the road.
my friend has an R1 which he rides without a reg plate. he says it is easier that way!
uldis believes in driving without reg plate :D
