Hello.. I'm new

Post by gorrie » Wed Jan 10, 2007 8:51 pm

I put money down on a Yellow 135R last weekend at Murrays... pick it up on Saturday, so thought I'd pop on here and say hello.

Does anyone on here do the Dreadnought track nights? The wife and I often do. We were the people in the Rover200 BRM (orange nose)... Paul at Dreadnought bought it off us last year though, so we tried out an MGZS180 on track at one night and decided to put a hold on the track stuff until we got an Elise (it's soooo frustrating having all these Elises buzzing round you like wasps).

Anyway... roll on Saturday.

Andy.

Ah, I see... see how I masterfully clipped the kerb

Thanks for the offer for the photo... I actually paid for print off someone (GKL Photography) who was up at KH on a different day (sunny believe it or not)... so I've got 1 with the wife at the wheel and 1 with me at the wheel on the wall.

Maybe see you up there this year.

Aye Welcome, from someone else desperate to get behind the wheel of his own Lotus!

I am sure it will be a different kettle of fish driving the 135r!

Thanks for all the welcomes...

No doubt the extremely silly questions will follow. If you don't believe me... how about this for a taster.

On Saturday, being excited at putting the deposit down I was looking at all the Lotus bumf in the cabinets (while dealer was putting the switch transaction through). In 1 cabinet, I noticed the Lotus Sport Gear Selector Gaitor (that metal one), partially obscured.

Imagine my surprise when I saw it was a special one for a '135'. On the verge of asking the dealer how much the gaitor was (after a few mins) the penny dropped. Imagine how stuuuupid I felt when it clicked that it was in fact '1st, 2nd, 3rd'.

What a tube.
