f*cking inconsiderate w*nkers

Post by The_Rossatron » Tue Jan 10, 2006 10:53 am

As the title may hint at I am absolutely fcuk raging. Arrived at my parking space this morning and some tool has parked across my space and there was no way in hell I was getting my car in.

There were sh*t loads of dodgily parked cars there and a lot of people were going into the mosque, I politely asked a few people if they could find out who's car it was (if anyones) but nobody was of any help whatsoever. Someone told me "don't worry we'll only be about 30 minutes" not much fcuk use when I was supposed to start work at 9. Just in now after parking in the car park in the Omni centre for a minimum £14.00 for the day.

Was extremely tempted to break the window and let the handbrake off.

i'd have sat there sounding the horn mate. or called the police to get them to move the car as it was blocking your access and this is illegal.

cops are normally very fast at moving troublesome vehicles cos it's a bit of an earner for them

I would have but I don't think they would have heard it.

I consider calling the police but was in a rush and there are no double yellow lines or anything but are they still breaking the law? I might put a complaint in, it happens a lot usually I can maneouvre my way in with a lot of difficulty and swearing and I'm getting properly sick of it!

yeah they're breaking the law. you're not supposed to park your car where it's blocking access to either property or a private parking space

cheers, I'll definately keep that in mind.

I couldn't even leave a note, no pen or paper! Perhaps I should have used my key as a pen and their bonnet as a canvas!

I would be raging also! I had considered buying a flat in that developement but ive often found all pavements littered with cars! It all clears when the mosque kicks out

I wouldnt suggest damaging his car, dont lower yourself, but you could let at least two of his tyres down. :thumbsup

:) I wouldn't really damage his car - I just can't get over the nerve of some people.

However if this had happened in my old dodgem 106 I would have just squeeeeeezed right in and if something had happened to get in the way well that wouldn't really have be my fault eh?

Might be worth taking a moment to contact the Mosque ? And if the problem is really bad pass templates of you letter to all the people in yuor block to hand in stating offenders details.

"We do not wish to have to contact the Police right now as people are attending the place of worship but we have little choice now ..."

Yeah definately, I couldn't find a phone number though :( and I didn't want to storm in and disturb everyone! Might pop in tomorrow and leave a polite request.

Last time I went to a mosque, (je suis non islam) I was not allowed to leave until I could not eat any more. Go for lunch.

I've heard of similar mosque-related problems in Dundee, think it was in the Courier or summit. the polite letter is the way forward, then the letter to the council, then letter to the local rag.

Yeah, apparently people have had hassle with it in the past. I have a mate who gets blocked in his house every time there is a game on at Murrayfield too. just down to pure selfishness.

If it's your parking space at your flat, you could do what I did at my old flat and put a couple of locking posts up. Unfortunately, I pi$$ed off a neighbour in another block (who had no right to park in our spaces incidentally) and he decided to rip one of them out. That was just a bolt down one that cost £50 so the next one I put in was an £80 one that was concreted 4 foot deep. The guy was a complete :knob and I even had a witness who saw him do it but apparently you need 2 witnesses under Scots law :thumbsdown

the witness thing goes both ways remember. That is unless it's a speeding ticket - no witnesses required, you just have to prove you are innocent!!
